Netcool Developer - Irving, TX - $65/hr

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Overview:

We're seeking an experienced Netcool Developer to support the integration and modernization of enterprise event management platforms using IBM Netcool Operations Insight (NOI) and IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps.

This role will focus on integrating traditional Netcool environments with AI-powered AIOps capabilities to improve operational efficiency, reduce alert noise, automate incident response, and enhance system reliability. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in IBM Netcool technologies, event management, automation, and hybrid cloud operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Integrate IBM Netcool Operations Insight (NOI) environments with IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps.

Support migration of event filters, policies, and automation workflows into AIOps platforms.

Configure and maintain bidirectional synchronization of event data between Netcool and AIOps environments.

Develop and implement automation policies, runbooks, and remediation workflows.

Configure event mapping, transformation rules, and alert processing logic.

Support AI-driven event correlation, anomaly detection, and incident management initiatives.

Utilize topology management capabilities to improve infrastructure visibility and incident impact analysis.

Integrate third-party platforms including ServiceNow, Splunk, Slack, and other enterprise tools.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across hybrid cloud and enterprise monitoring environments.

Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, infrastructure, and operations teams to improve service reliability.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

8+ years of experience supporting enterprise monitoring and event management platforms.

Strong expertise in IBM Netcool Suite.

Deep knowledge of Netcool Omnibus and Netcool Impact.

Experience with Netcool probes, gateways, and Web GUI.

Experience with IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps.

Experience integrating event management and monitoring platforms.

Knowledge of event correlation, alert management, and incident response processes.

Experience with automation development and runbook implementation.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Experience working within complex enterprise environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with JSONATA transformations.

Python scripting experience.

Bash scripting experience.

Experience with ServiceNow integrations.

Experience with Splunk integrations.

DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience.

Hybrid cloud infrastructure experience.

AIOps platform implementation experience.

Compensation & Benefits:

Pay Rate: $65/hour
