Locum - Physician - Neonatology Long Beach, CA
Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Locum Physician specializing in Neonatology, providing critical care in a Level IV neonatal intensive care environment. The role encompasses in-house shift coverage on weekdays, nights, weekends, and 24-hour shifts, tailored to meet the urgent needs of our neonatal unit.
Required Skills:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with valid and unrestricted medical license in California
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
- Proven clinical expertise in neonatology, including managing critically ill infants
- Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong commitment to patient safety and quality care
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous experience in a Level IV NICU setting
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Experience with hand-held ventilators and advanced neonatal interventions
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Minimum of 3 years of neonatal intensive care experience
- Prior locum or hospital-based clinical experience is advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Availability for various shifts including days, nights, weekends, and 24-hour coverage
- Compliance with all healthcare licensing, certification, and credentialing requirements
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to support hospital staffing demands
- No travel restrictions; travel and licensure reimbursements available as applicable
