Position Information

ND-SPARK Research Experiences for High School Students (REHSS) Research Assistant (RA). This position can only be applied to by North Dakota High School students who have been awarded a ND-SPARK EPSCoR-NSF grant in a STEM field.

Students will be under the direct day-to-day supervision of their STEM high school teacher and their MiSU faculty research advisor specified in their ND-SPARK REHSS award letter. Each RA will report their hours to Dr. Collette in the Geology Program (indirect supervisor).

Applicants must be currently enrolled in a North Dakota High School and have already received a ND-SPARK award letter prior to applying for this position. This is an EPSCoR-NSF grant-funded position for directed research and either in-person or remote work toward accomplishing the STEM project as outlined in the students award letter.

All relevant ND state laws regarding employment of persons 16 - 17 as laid out by the state of North Dakota must be followed as a prerequisite of employment.
