Responsibilities:

Arcfeld is seeking a skilled Senior Systems or Communications Engineer or Technician with expertise in Navy operations, shipboard installations, and system integration. The ideal candidate will take charge of leading the installation and integration of advanced Electronic Warfare systems.

 

This role offers a dynamic work environment with new challenges to tackle each day, requiring adaptability and problem-solving skills. Whether dealing with hardware, systems, integration, or a blend of all three, you’ll have the opportunity to deepen your understanding of Navy systems while identifying and addressing new and unexpected issues through thorough troubleshooting and testing. Collaboration across disciplines will be key as you work with others to develop and implement effective solutions.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

 

  • BS w/ 8-10 years; MS w/ 6-8 years or PhD w/ 3-5 years experience; Technical or Engineering degree required or equivalent experience in Technical/ElectroMagnetic Warfare or as a Cryptologic Technician  or Electronic Technician
  • Min 10 years of experience in systems integration (varies by position level) for the Navy
  • Prior military experience, particularly Navy - Sr retired Navy enlisted (preferred)
  • Experience with shipyard operations and installation procedures
  • Knowledge of maritime regulatory compliance requirements
  • Must possess and maintain a DOD SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain a TS

 

Experience:

 

  • Experience with shipboard systems (EW, combat systems, navigation, communications, etc.)
  • Knowledge of military specifications (MIL-STD) and naval technical standards
  • Systems integration experience across multiple platforms
  • Strong understanding of power distribution systems and constraints aboard vessels
  • Proficiency in system testing, verification, and validation procedures

 

Certifications (preferred):

 

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license beneficial
  • Defense-specific certifications (based on specialization)
  • NAVSEA certification training (depending on systems)

  • Ability to work in confined spaces and challenging shipboard environments
  • Willingness to travel to shipyards and naval bases
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication abilities for cross-functional team collaboration
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and technical requirements
  • Should be able and willing to carry heavy test equipment for installations which will require a lot of walking and climbing up and down ladders
Equal Pay Act: This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
