Job TitleSpinal Implants Sales LeaderAbout Our ClientOur client is a spine-focused orthopedic device company developing and manufacturing next-generation spinal implants using advanced 3D-printing and materials science. The technology was originally incubated in academic research environments and has been in clinical use for over a decade. More recently, the business has gained commercial momentum after transitioning manufacturing fully in-house. Based in the Boston area, the company designs lattice-based spinal implants intended to improve biomechanical performance and support bone ingrowth. The team combines deep engineering expertise with close collaboration with spine surgeons, resulting in a differentiated approach to both lumbar and cervical fusion. The organization is still early in its commercial build, offering sales leaders direct access to executive leadership and a meaningful opportunity to help shape long-term U.S. growth as the platform continues to scale.Job DescriptionOwn and grow a strategically aligned region, defined based on your location, surgeon relationships, and market opportunity. Drive surgeon adoption of a differentiated portfolio of lumbar and cervical (ACDF) interbody fusion cages. Build trusted relationships with spine surgeons and clinical teams, providing hands-on OR support and procedural education for ACDF and lumbar fusion cases. Develop and execute a regional growth strategy across hospitals, ASCs, and IDNs, with clear ownership of key target accounts. Partner with and enable distributor resources to expand coverage and drive consistent product utilization across the territory. Position the clinical and biomechanical advantages of 3D-printed implants - including stiffness matching and porosity-driven bone ingrowth - based on surgeon preferences and case needs. Support regional and national surgeon education efforts, including conferences, cadaver labs, and clinical training events. Provide market and competitive insights to leadership to inform product positioning and future commercial strategy. The Successful ApplicantProven experience selling spine implants. Comfortable supporting ACDF and lumbar fusion cases in the OR and engaging surgeons in clinically complex discussions. Brings existing relationships or active access to spine surgeons and/or distributors within a U.S. region where they can credibly drive adoption. Excited by an early-stage commercial environment and motivated by building a territory rather than inheriting an established book. Operates with a high degree of ownership, accountability, and self-direction, while collaborating closely with leadership. Able to prioritize, plan, and execute independently in a lean organization. Bachelor's degree preferred; life sciences or biomedical background a plus. Experience with 3D-printed implants or FDA-regulated devices is helpful but not required. What's on Offer$120K base salary plus uncapped commission, with accelerated commission kickers, milestone bonuses, and a sign-on bonus for experienced candidates. Targeted first-year OTE of approximately $210K, with upside tied directly to territory growth and surgeon adoption. Equity eligibility following successful year-one performance. Direct reporting line to the CEO, with visibility into commercial strategy, product roadmap, and future expansion plans. Full ownership of a defined territory, with the opportunity to shape go-to-market approach and build long-term value. Car allowance or mileage reimbursement. Annual healthcare stipend.M
