You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance product performance, improve manufacturing processes, and deliver high‑quality engineering solutions aligned with customer needs.As a Mechanical Design Engineer - Drill Bits, you will be responsible for:Creating drill bit designs and manufacturing packages using 3D modeling and data management systemsSupporting NAL Central & NE Operations by providing design expertise aligned with regional requirementsInterfacing with Product Line Management, Operations, Manufacturing, and Technology teams to improve product performance and efficiencyEngaging directly with customers to understand technical needs, gather feedback, and ensure satisfactionDocumenting and sharing lessons learned across cross‑functional teamsSupporting manufacturing teams with troubleshooting, problem solving, and issue resolutionEnsuring all work aligns with HSE, Quality, Legal compliance, and organizational cultural standardsTo be successful in this role you will:Have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or collegeBring 5-10 years of relevant engineering experienceDemonstrate experience working with 3D CAD systemsHave experience with simulation tools such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)Be capable of selecting appropriate engineering techniques, performing analysis, and making sound design recommendationsPossess knowledge of mechanical component design and applied engineering principlesHave the ability to drive adherence to product design standards and support continuous updatesBe capable of leading engineering projects with limited supervisionDesired CharacteristicsStrong problem‑solving and analytical thinking skillsAbility to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional and global teamsStrong communication and technical presentation skillsAbility to work independently while managing multiple prioritiesWork in a way that works for youWe recognize that flexibility and collaboration are key to engineering success:This role is in general hours (8AM - 5PM)Willingness to travel (Working for youOur inventions have revolutionized energy for over a century.
