Work Schedule:

Third Shift (10PM - 6:30AM) Monday - Friday, + $2.00 shift differential

Ability to work all shifts as required by training needs

Ability to work daily overtime as needed

Ability to work Saturday and Sunday overtime days as needed

Job Overview:

We are currently hiring for a Mustard Kitchen Lead on third shift. As you develop your skills there is plenty of room for growth to other roles within the factory.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Work in a safe manner, following all general safety rules of the plant. This includes but is not limited to the following tasks:

Following PPE requirements

Escalating safety defects and concerns to leads/supervisors

Assure that we are always working to meet or exceed our quality standards. This includes but is not limited to the following tasks:

Following GMP requirements

Inspecting raw materials and finished goods

Completing quality documentation

Assisting in rework as assigned

Escalating quality defects and concerns to leads/supervisors

Responsible for the operation and utilization of the Yellow Mustard and Grey Poupon kitchens in the facility which includes but is not limited to the following tasks:

Responsible for unloading raw materials from trucks, supplying the kitchen department with materials and ingredients as required via lift truck, placing raw materials and finished goods in proper storage areas, and loading finished goods on trucks

Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)

Perform all required observations and training timely and as scheduled

Assemble the tote fill system and coordinate mustard tank/vat usage.

Operate forklift in the kitchens, seed room and around storage areas.

Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Leader

Operate relish, sauce, and mustard making area without immediate supervision.

Direct daily activities of relish, sauce, and mustard crews, general labor.

Keep work area clean and orderly

Operate relish, sauce, and mustard making area without immediate supervision.

Oversee fresh cucumber receiving area during green season

Fill in for any PC positions when employees are absent

Perform minor mechanical work such as patching hose, cleaning Tempco as needed.

Conduct inspections as necessary, report results including recommendations for corrective actions to supervisor.

Operating a forklift

Troubleshoot equipment as necessary

Support Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS) at the operator level. This includes, but is not limited to, participation in the following processes:

Shift hand off meetings

Level 1 meetings

Performance boards

Centerline Management (CLM)

Clean to Inspect and Reapply Lubrication (CIL)

5S

Defect handling

Startup/shut down

Changeovers

Daily problem handling

Work with support departments to improve line performance

Utilize a computer and programs for communication, reports, and daily monitoring

Keep work area clean and orderly

Perform any other duty as assigned

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 - 100 pounds, requesting assistance as necessary.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee will be exposed during his/her job to high noise levels, chemicals, exposure to strong odors, fumes or airborne particles, constant stair climbing, and slippery floors.

Personal Protective Equipment: The employee is regularly required to wear company authorized safety shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, rubber boots, chemical protection and other personal protective equipment to successfully perform the functions of this job safely.

Qualifications:

Upon hire will train to become Lock Out Tag Out certified and maintain qualification

Upon hire will train to become Forklift certified and maintain qualification

Must successfully pass on the job training and maintain operator qualification

Able to read, write, and perform basic math functions, such as, multiplication and addition
