Job Description

Exciting Opportunity for a Musculoskeletal Radiologist in Phoenix! Enjoy $200,000 in Student Loan Repayment, 55 Days of PTO, Exceptional VA Benefits, and More!

Our organization is on the lookout for a Board-Certified Musculoskeletal Radiologist who also possesses skills in General Radiology (no mammography required). We welcome applications from recent fellows and those graduating in 2025!

The Radiology Service at the Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS) provides specialized radiology services, catering to both inpatient and outpatient needs, as well as emergency services for Veterans throughout central Arizona. As one of the largest clinical departments at PVAHCS, our Radiology Service comprises over 130 staff members across nine specialty divisions, including: Staff Radiology, Vascular and Interventional Radiology, CT Services, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Breast Imaging, Diagnostic Radiology, MRI Services, and Clerical Services. Each division operates with its own unique procedures for patient flow, scheduling, quality assurance, and compliance with regulations. Currently, our Phoenix Radiology department is staffed by 24 radiologists who deliver both subspecialty and general radiology services.

Applicants must be ABR-certified (or ABR-eligible), with a preference for those who have completed fellowship training in Musculoskeletal imaging. Proficiency in performing joint injections, arthrograms, and joint aspirations is essential. Candidates should have a solid background in clinical radiology and a comprehensive understanding of the various subspecialties and their services. A valid medical license in at least one state is required, along with all necessary certifications for clinical duties and core privileges, including BLS certification. The role will involve a mix of responsibilities in MSK radiology and general radiology, typically with a focus of around 60% on MSK.

In this position, you will have the chance to contribute to the education of radiology residents and other healthcare trainees, including students, resident physicians, and fellows. Opportunities to present at various conferences, such as didactics, tumor boards, peer learning sessions, and specialty-specific meetings, will also be available. While not mandatory, radiologists may choose to engage in research projects of their interest.

Work will primarily take place at the Phoenix VA Health Care System Medical Center, located at 650 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85012, as well as at the 32nd St VA clinic (400N 32nd St, Phoenix, AZ 85008) or other designated sites as determined by the Department Chief.

Work Schedule:

Compensation and Benefits:
