Job Summary/Description:

WBNG-TV, the CBS affiliate in Binghamton, New York, has an immediate opportunity for a strong leader in sales management for our multi-platform sales team. This important position on our leadership team works in tandem with the Director of Sales and gives you the responsibility of revenue management for our station, which includes broadcast sales on CBS, The CW, and MeTV, as well as digital opportunities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Create revenue-generating sales opportunities and solutions for all platforms of the station. • Prepare annual goals and budgets, driving digital revenue growth and achieving revenue targets with a focus on new local direct business. • Collaborate regularly with the sales team on strategy and negotiations for key accounts and assist Multimedia Executives in presenting and closing business. • Consistently evaluate employees performance, meeting with all sales team members weekly to ensure their professional development and success. • Assist in growing our sales team with exceptional skills in recruiting, coaching, and training sellers. • Meet with clients to develop and strengthen relationships and drive client retention. • Effectively price and manage inventory and provide correct forecasting. • Be active in the community, supporting our customers and local events.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• The ideal candidate is goal-oriented, driven, and able to motivate the local sales team to achieve their individual sales goals. • Must have the ability to manage multiple projects, communicate across departments, ensure projects and campaigns are executed as proposed and sold, and be extremely organized with great time management skills. • A bachelors degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent is preferred. • Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in broadcast sales is preferred. • 3 years of experience in managing a sales team, strategic planning, and a track record of growing revenue preferred.
