Reports news stories, providing background and details of events.
Arranges interviews and conducts research to gather accurate information.
Reviews and edits content for errors, style, and format, ensuring quality and integrity.
Determines story emphasis, length, and organization.
Pitches relevant stories and evaluates tips and leads for new story ideas.
Shoots and edits video reports and creates content for all platforms.
Interacts with viewers/users on social media and performs special projects as assigned.
Requirements include a relevant degree or experience, strong communication skills, at least two years of news reporting experience, on-air presence, proficiency with equipment, ability to meet deadlines, and flexibility for shifts. A valid driver's license is also required.
