Why this role matters

  • Keep essential manufacturing assets safe, reliable, and productive on the night shift (7 PM – 7 AM).
  • Protect uptime by tackling urgent breakdowns and executing disciplined preventive maintenance.
  • Elevate reliability through well-planned overhauls and precise recordkeeping in the Maintenance system.

What you’ll tackle

  • Breakdown response: welding, plumbing, acetylene cutting, bearing and seal changes, shaft repair, and other mechanical fixes.
  • Mechanical PMs and major overhauls on production equipment.
  • Facility care: routine maintenance and repairs to buildings and grounds.
  • Rigorous inspections to spot issues early; define repair/installation/assembly plans that are safe and efficient.
  • Accurate time-and-material tracking for every job; enter details into the Maintenance system.
  • 6S housekeeping ownership of the maintenance area.
  • Safety leadership: follow Prysmian rules and site-specific procedures; remind contractors and visitors to comply with all safety regulations.
  • Team coverage: fill in for vacations/illness (weekends and all shifts when required) and work overtime as needed.

What you bring

  • 3–5 years in industrial mechanical maintenance, plus machining, welding, hydraulics, and pneumatics experience.
  • Hands-on mastery with power tools.
  • Blueprint and diagram literacy; verify and follow the right procedures.
  • Well organized; self-starter who takes direction well.
  • Thrives in hot, cold, dirty, and fast-paced environments.

Pay, schedule, and extras

  • Starting wage: $42.08/hour
  • Night shift differential: $2.50/hour
  • Schedule: 7 PM – 7 AM; overtime as needed; weekend and cross-shift coverage for vacations/illness
