Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, this role leads the development of project specifications, supervise other managers and superintendents and detailed scopes of work. Collaborate with the Director of Construction, COO, and CEO on project planning and execution. Review drawings and project scope; conduct site walks to identify risks and pre-construction concerns. Review project estimates, monitor cost trends, and proactively mitigate budget overruns. Oversee construction progress and provide direction to Field Project Managers. Maintain strong communication with subcontractors, vendors, and internal leadership. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee renovation projects from start to finish.
  • Work and manage constractors, vendors, check on their work.
  • Communicate with home office on project and progress.
  • Attend regular meetings on work progresss.
  • Manage, coach, and develop direct reports.
  • Support hiring, training, and performance management of project team members.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management, preferably in multi-family or residential environments
  • Past experience management other workers.
  • Experience managing multiple projects on a regular basis.

Required Skills:

  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
  • Experience developing scopes of work and managing subcontractor bids
  • Solid understanding of building codes and construction best practices
  • Proven cost control, budgeting, and project planning skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with project management or ERP systems a plus
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed
  • Flexibility to work occasional after hour or non standard work hours
