Position Overview

The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance activities on production equipment and facility systems. This role supports uninterrupted manufacturing operations through the maintenance of industrial machinery, forklifts, cranes, lathes, mills, HVAC systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical controls. The ideal candidate will possess strong multi-craft maintenance experience with expertise in both mechanical and electrical disciplines while maintaining a strong commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance on industrial equipment and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC systems.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and determine appropriate corrective actions.
  • Dismantle equipment, replace defective components, and perform adjustments using hand and power tools.
  • Maintain motors, pumps, gearboxes, control systems, and production machinery.
  • Repair and service forklifts, cranes, lathes, mills, surface grinders, and other specialized equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, technical manuals, and engineering drawings.
  • Perform fabrication and machining work to support equipment repairs and modifications.
  • Complete preventive maintenance activities and document work performed within CMMS systems.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance situations.
  • Collaborate with production personnel, engineers, and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate Degree or Technical Certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechanics, or related field preferred.
  • Experience as a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, or similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting industrial machinery and production equipment.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Experience using CMMS software for maintenance documentation.
  • Ability to work varying shifts, overtime, and on-call schedules as needed.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in industrial environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PLC troubleshooting experience.
  • Welding and fabrication experience.
  • Experience maintaining cranes, forklifts, machine tools, and precision equipment.
  • Knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems.
  • Industrial HVAC maintenance experience.
