Supplier Quality SpecialistThe Supplier Quality Specialist is a member of the Quality Control Department and has responsibility for collaborating with suppliers to ensure consistent production part quality. The incumbent performs root cause analysis, audits production processes, and coordinates countermeasure to ensure quality product Maturity Level Assurance Standards are met.ResponsibilitiesConduct periodic onsite supplier product inspectionsProvide internal and external supplier support for root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions related to supplier corrective action requestsSupport supplier requests related to program requirements, interface with customer needs and program management activitiesPerform on-going surveillance of supplier's conformance to Mobis requirement and provide weekly reports to the SQE teamCoordinate parts development and implementation and perform engineering activities for assigned projects with suppliers and other departmentsConduct supplier's PPA reviews and approvals and coordinates new program supplier auditsReview Failure Mode Affect Analysis (FMEA) for assigned production partsTrack and monitor the status of engineering changes for all suppliersOversees warranty and field claimsOther duties as assignedAuthority & ScopeThis role operates within defined corporate policies and procedures and exercises judgment appropriate to its level of responsibility.
