Position Overview Pratt & Whitney is seeking a maintenance technician for its Asheville, North Carolina facility. The role is onsite and the 2nd shift runs 4×10 hours, Monday–Thursday from 3:30p.m. to 2:00a.m.What You Will Do Perform routine tasks related to preventive and corrective maintenance and servicing of machinery and equipment.Assist higher‑level technicians in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical services as required.Maintain fluid levels on machinery, change filters, document and analyze fluid usage, and operate and maintain fluid‑filtration equipment.Proactively perform basic equipment maintenance such as turnarounds, clean robot booths, remove swarf buildup in machines, remove grinding grit and fragments from machines, empty and clean oil skimmers, clean and service parts washers, remove and replace de‑ionized water bottles.Perform administrative maintenance tasks and associated paperwork, monitor fluids, filters, and consumable inventories.Document work in SAP maintenance management suite (CMMS) and properly utilize the shop‑floor Andon system.Operate PIVs as required and maintain inspection records while following safe‑work practices and keeping up to date on EHS/OHS training requirements.Perform other duties as assigned.Lift, push, pull, bend, squat, climb, stand, walk, and twist hands; work in confined spaces; and maintain a forklift license.Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED with post‑secondary education in maintenance, and/or 2–4years of equivalent maintenance experience.U.S. citizenship is required.Basic mechanical and electrical skill with a desire to pursue a career in the skilled‑trade field.Familiar with OSHA and general safety practices.Security clearance: none required.Preferred Qualifications Technical aptitude in basic mechanics, rigging, hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum systems, electrical, automation, and PLC/CNCs.Capable of safely working on electrical systems up to 480V (Electrical Safe Work Practices), instrumentation and control systems, and mechanical systems.MIG/TIG welding, fabrication, and basic machining.Technical certifications or an associate's degree in a maintenance‑related field.Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.Short‑term disability, long‑term disability, and parental leave.401(k) match.Flexible spending accounts.Employee assistance program.Employee Scholar Program (no waiting period).Paid time off: 3weeks of vacation, 5 personal sick days, 3 unpaid days for unique situations at supervisor discretion, and 12 paid government holidays.Equal Opportunity Employer RTX is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
