Overview
As a Managed Services Center (MSC) Infrastructure Engineer, you will provide ePlus' MSC and clientele with Network, Security and Systems support to maximize stability, availability, security, and functionality within the production environment. As a customer-interfacing contact, you will work to solve pressing business issues and drive positive change. You will leverage technology, advance ePlus MSC services and provide performance improvement feedback.
Your Impact
The essential functions of this position include:
• Manage projects and tasks, as assigned, including: • Tool replacement and upgrades • Maintain accurate data set in tools • Deploying new networks • Integrating tools and authentication methods • Hardware upgrades and replacements • Creating and updating documentation • Perform network/systems support in a Managed Services Center environment • Troubleshoot, isolate, and diagnose common problems network/systems problems, either alone or as part of a team • Resolve and manage problems effectively and immediately • Work in a team environment 7x24x365 with the ability to function independently and discretely during rotating shift work • Provide systems support functions for client end systems, which includes design, development, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and problem resolution. Follow-through until problems are resolved. • Focus on building your own high-level technical skills including building a strength in coding and automation techniques • Ability to work overnight shifts on a weekly rotating schedule • Ability to work remotely and still provide a professional communication experience
Qualifications
College degree preferred; high school diploma required 1-2 years of networking experience CCNA upon hire or within 6 months of employment Experience/training on one or more of the following: • Cisco LAN and WAN Devices • Fortinet Infrastructure systems • RHEL Linux • Practical knowledge of Enterprise Networking concepts • Excellent oral and written communications skills • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills • Experience/training on one or more of the following: • Cisco IOS-XE, IOS-NX • Fortinet infrastructure devices • Windows Server and RHEL Linux • CCNA Certification or NSE3 or working towards
Position Specifics
The base salary range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $24.04 and $33.65 hourly; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions and discretionary bonuses, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and personal leave), dependent on the position offered.
