Job Purpose:
- Beacon Point at LifeStream offers traditional outpatient treatment services to adults age 18 and over for substance abuse and/or mental illness diagnoses. The MS Therapist Licensed is responsible for providing high-quality mental health services to individuals experiencing a range of psychological issues. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and creating personalized treatment plans to support clients in achieving improved mental health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' mental health needs and challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based therapeutic practices.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions to clients with diverse backgrounds and mental health conditions.
- Monitor and evaluate clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
- Participate in regular supervision and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mental health therapy to apply best practices in treatment.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal guidelines in the provision of mental health services.
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed to clients experiencing acute mental health episodes.
