The Campbellsport MS/HS Assistant Principal/Athletic Director will foster a positive, safe environment that is conducive to best meeting the needs of all students, staff and parents. This includes such responsibilities as: leading, directing, counseling, and supervising a variety of personnel and programs; creating effective parent, teacher, and student communications; supporting, encouraging, mentoring, and evaluating staff; and fostering teamwork between teachers and among staff and parents. The ideal candidate will have strong decision-making, analytical, organizational, and instructional leadership skills. Primary Purpose

To assist the MS & HS Principals in the overall leadership, administration, and operation of the school building - ensuring a safe, inclusive, and academically strong environment for all students, staff, and families. The Assistant Principal works under the direction of the MS & HS Principals and assumes leadership responisbilities in their absence.

The Athletic Director is responsible for leadership, management, and overall operation of the high school''s interscholastic athletic and co-curricular sports programs. This role ensures compliance with Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) rules, district policies, and Title IX requirements, while providing a safe, equitable, and positive environment for student-athletes, coaches, families, and community stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATION

Education

  • Master''s degree in Educational Administration, Leadership, or related field (common requirement).

Licensure

  • Valid Wisconsin Administrative License - typically Principal (#51) or an equivalent administrative credential issued by Wisconsin DPI.

Experience & Skills

  • Successful classroom teaching experience (often 5+ years or more)
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, families, and community partners
  • Experience in athletic administration and/or coaching at the high school level
  • Knowledge of WIAA rules and competitive athletic programming
  • Budgeting and financial managment experience

Typical Work Context

  • Full-time, school calendar year position (220-230 contract days depending on responsibilities)
  • Work includes time in classrooms, offices, school events, and community meetings
  • Evenings, weekends, and travel required for athletic events and meetings

The Village of Campbellsport is located in Fond du Lac County, nestled among the hills, woods and farm fields on the outskirts of Wisconsin''s Kettle Moraine State Forest. The scenic area off State Highway 67 between I-41 and I-45 is a short commute from job centers in the cities of West Bend, Fond du lac, the Fox Valley, and even Milwaukee. The school district''s boundaries encompass two villages (Campbellsport and Eden) and nine townships (Ashford, Auburn, Byron, Eden, Empire, Forest, Greenbush, Mitchell, Osceola).
