The Middle School Volleyball Coach will provide direction and help oversee the Volleyball Program. Coaching candidates will be expected to have a visible commitment to our student-athletes while exhibiting strong interpersonal and leadership skills. We are looking for coaches who have a great ability to build relationships with players and the community. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate the ability to coach and motivate players in order to grow, not only on the volleyball court, but in the classroom as well. Teaching skills, technique, and team concepts will be valued alongside instilling character traits that will push every student-athlete to become high character young adults. An emphasis will be placed on creating a positive experience for the student-athletes and being an ambassador to the entire volleyball program.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Organizing and facilitating practices and meets • Communicate with parents, participants and fellow coaches • Ability to plan and execute skills and training programs specific for the level of athlete • Prepare student-athletes for competition • Oversee the daily maintenance and repair of equipment • Have appropriate ethical behavior and instill those behaviors in our athletes
