Get to Know Your Team:
- Hillcrest Hospital South is a full-service 180-bed hospital providing a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services using state-of-the-art technology in a friendly community setting. Consistent performance has helped the hospital be nationally recognized for patient safety.
Responsibilities:
- Perform complex tasks associated with operating high field strength magnets and equipment to produce quality images.
- Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during the scan.
- Position patients and start IVs as needed.
- Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration.
- Evaluate images for technical quality, exposure, and transmit to PACS.
- Operate the scanner to provide cross-sectional images and data for medical treatment and diagnosis.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology training program in a school approved by the
Council of Medical Education of the AMA or equivalent MRI School. - American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or American Registry of MRI Technologist (ARMRIT).
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Advanced certification in MRI.
