• 4x10 Day Shifts
• Wednesday: 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM
• Thursday: 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM
• Friday: 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM
• Saturday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking MRI Technologist for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI imaging procedures according to departmental protocols
- Position patients and imaging coils to obtain optimal diagnostic studies
- Educate patients regarding MRI procedures and provide clear instructions
- Review patient safety questionnaires prior to MRI examinations
- Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure timely transmission to PACS
- Complete imaging studies and documentation within the Radiology Information System (IDX)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of MRI rooms and equipment
- Maintain patient records and scan relevant documentation into the system
- Schedule examinations and accurately document patient tracking information
- Assist physicians as needed during procedures
- Adhere to MRI safety standards and infection control protocols
- Participate in professional development and departmental education activities
- Report equipment issues and maintain a safe working environment
Requirements
- Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T.-approved Radiologic Technology program required
- Current New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology required
- ARRT MRI Certification required
- Current BLS Certification required
- Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, MRI physics, and imaging procedures required
- Excellent technical and patient care skills required
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience preferred
- Experience with PACS and Radiology Information Systems preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills preferred
