Job Summary and Qualifications

Your responsibilities will include: 

· Creates work schedules to ensure coverage.

· Assists Radiology Leadership with evaluation and assessment of MRI personnel.

· Assists in assessing service and technical needs of equipment.

· Assists in training staff in MRI.

· Perform special assignments as needed/requested.

· Serves as a clinical resource to department staff, students, volunteers and other departments, and contributes to the teamwork essential to ensuring quality patient care.

· Observe and coach employees regarding performance, conduct, attendance and other matters.

· Keeps abreast of the new procedures, equipment, methods and participates in their evaluation and application.

· Assists in developing new policy and procedures. Makes recommendation for changes and improvement with existing policy and procedures.

· Contributes to Radiology MRI Safety Committee.

· Assists in meeting department goals related to TAT and throughput.

· Maintains TJC readiness and ACR accreditations.

· Accepts clinical responsibility and accountability for the quality and level of care provided to all patients and evaluates the appropriateness of care.

· Actively participates with Radiology Leadership in formulating and implementing the organizations and the department’s strategic plan and goals.

· Ensures that proper charges are generated for patient care services and supplies.

· Ability to effectively motivate and lead others.

· Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects and meets objectives and deadlines.

    · Ability to work as part of a team.

    What qualifications you will need:
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • (ARRT-MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging
    • (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
    • Associate degree, or Bachelor's degree, or Vocational School Graduate
    • 2 year's experience Required 
    • Previous Lead experience preferred
