Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to assist in diagnosing medical conditions.

Every day you will prepare patients for scans, operate advanced MRI equipment, ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment, and accurately capture detailed anatomical images.

To be successful, you will demonstrate expert technical proficiency in MRI, meticulous attention to detail for image quality and safety, and excellent patient communication to ensure a comfortable and effective diagnostic experience.

Must interview the patient, explain examination procedures, review patient history and previous exams for allergies and contraindications, and be responsible to monitor patient and report any changes in patient condition.

Must understand patient needs and respond accordingly.

Performs MRI scans, ensuring that patient orientation and anatomy are correctly displayed.

Must enter scan data into the scanner.

Ensures that technologists initials are displayed on the images.

Job Requirements

Required:

Minimum 1-year MRI experience Medical Radiographer: CA, upon hire and Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech: CA, upon hire and Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire or Registered Technologist Bone Densitometry, upon hire or Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, upon hire or Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography, upon hire or Registered Technologist Mammography, upon hire or Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, upon hire or Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology, upon hire or Registered Technologist Quality Management, upon hire or Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy, upon hire or Registered Technologist Vascular Interventional Radiography, upon hire or Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography, upon hire
