Job Summary: Assists members of the patient care team and provides a broad range of health care services such as in-room patient identification and modality-specific check-in, exam review, preparation for the visit, patient education, assistance with exams and procedures. The Imaging Assistant is trained in using a wide variety of equipment, computers, and software. The incumbent must be able to resolve conflict and endure the pressures associated with a constantly changing work environment. The incumbent assists with exams on adults, geriatric patients, adolescents, and pediatric age groups and performs patient assessment within the scope of practice. Minimum Qualifications:

Must obtain ARRT Imaging Assistant-Magnetic Resonance certification within 2.5 years of employment. Per ARRT, eligibility requirements for this position/certification are as follows. Candidates must:

  • Be 18+ years old with a high school diploma or GED
  • Meet ARRT's ethics requirements
  • Complete structured continuing education (CE) and clinical tasks
  • Be verified by an ARRT certified and registered technologist
  • Finish all requirements within 24 months of applying
  • The credential is renewable annually with 10 credits of required, discipline- specific continuing education due every two years.

Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures.

Work Days:

Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
