Description:

You will be the MRB Engineer, Senior - Level 3 for the Material Review Board (MRB) team which is responsible for ensuring aircraft component compliance and quality.

What You Will Be Doing

As the MRB Engineer, Senior - Level 3 you will be responsible for leading material review activities that ensure aircraft component compliance and quality throughout the F‑35 production line.

"Your responsibilities will include:"

  • Investigate anomalies, develop technical solutions, and release dispositions for high‑performance aeronautical parts and assemblies.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional groups including Stress/Service Life, Quality Assurance, Planning, Functional Test, Structures, Systems Design, Safety, Materials and Processes.
  • Partner with the production floor and customer engineering staff to drive workflow improvements, embed best practices, and manage lessons learned.
  • Provide MRB team coverage for off‑shift and weekend support, and travel as needed for training and certification.

Who You Are

You are a collaborative, hands‑on engineer with a proven track record in non‑conformance resolution for complex aerospace components. You thrive in fast‑paced environments, are comfortable working in confined spaces and at height, and are committed to obtaining the required Material Review Board certification. Your technical expertise, attention to detail, and ability to influence cross‑functional teams make you uniquely suited to drive quality and reliability for the F‑35 program.

Further Information About This Opportunity

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering field.
  • Experience with CATIA, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Unigraphics, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool
  • Experience providing engineering support for aircraft production, modification, or sustainment

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with CATIA V5 and Team Center
  • Experience with metallic and composite design and/ or analysis
  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Prior experience/ role with MR Engineering signature authority
  • Strong internal and external customer focus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
