Starting Salary: $17.00

Employment Type: Hourly Full Time

Work Environment: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm

Job Summary:

The Moulder Operator is responsible for setting up the moulder

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Setup and changeover the Moulder for daily operation including adjusting heads, jointing, and machine controls.
  • Work efficiently to streamline work processes and reduce downtime.
  • Troubleshoot machine and equipment problems.
  • Use calipers to perform periodic quality checks on product.
  • Understand grades, sizes, and quality control measures.
  • Promote team-work by assisting other crew members with their duties as needed to ensure quality and production targets are met.
  • Train others to perform the responsibilities of a Moulder Operator.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Basic mechanical abilities
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to read digital calipers and tape measure
  • Able to read and understand drawings

Physical Demands:

The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical manufacturing environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. Noise level is moderate to high depending on the area of the mill. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. Requires close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The employee must frequently lift 35 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Travel:

This position does not require travel to other Woodgrain locations.
