Motor Control Electrician

We are seeking an experienced Motor Control Electrician to support the build, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of motor control systems. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build, install, maintain, and troubleshoot new and existing motor control systems

  • Read and accurately follow wiring diagrams and schematics

  • Wire motor starters, relays, and PLCs

  • Program and calibrate controllers to ensure smooth and reliable operation

  • Test electrical circuits for safety, functionality, and efficiency

  • Diagnose electrical faults such as overloads, short circuits, and component failures

  • Replace or repair faulty electrical components

  • Ensure all wiring meets applicable codes and standards, including UL, CSA, NFPA, ATEX, or others depending on application

  • Coordinate with engineers and production teams during system upgrades or modifications

  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of work performed

  • Train apprentices or assembly floor personnel on best practices when required

Safety Requirements

  • Follow all safety protocols at all times

  • Proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment

  • Safety awareness and compliance are critical to success in this role

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong attention to detail with zero tolerance for loose or improper connections
