As a Motivational Entertainer, you will get to be involved in many of EPIC’s operations. The primary focus of your position will be to promote and perform EPIC’s motivational shows at schools, churches, camps, and other venues. You will be expected to perform roughly between 125-150 shows per year.
Performances & Promotion: Promote and perform EPIC's motivational shows across various venues. Represent the brand at conferences and industry networking events.
Inventory & Warehouse Management: Pack performance equipment safely, maintain warehouse organization, and handle inventory management (tracking stock, ordering props/merchandise, and repairing equipment).
Data & Administration: Contribute to internal database projects and complete other administrative operational tasks as needed.
Growth Opportunities: Participate in secondary operational areas as available, including marketing, video production, social media management, merchandising, content development, and creative brainstorming to develop new skits and games.
Travel Frequency: Frequent statewide and national travel with overnight trips required (equating to approximately 80 or more nights on the road per year). All travel expenses outside of the Austin area are covered or reimbursed.
Physical Ability: Position requires some heavy lifting of objects up to 50 lbs.
Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some nights, weekends, or holidays based on busy seasons, show schedules, and travel days.
Communication & Performance: Demonstrated capacity to inspire, instruct, and encourage audiences through impactful live performances and effective communication.
Character & Independence: A driven self-starter who requires minimal supervision, maintaining a high level of productivity, accountability, and integrity when working remotely.
Collaboration & Flexibility: Able to take direction during training, adapt quickly to changing schedules, and collaborate with the team on creative concepts.
Schedule: Full-time exempt position (prorated based on a 40-hour work week). Office hours and travel frequency fluctuate based on seasonal demands.
Location: Hybrid role. Expected to work in person 1–2 days per week for training and collaborative business operations, with the remaining days worked remotely when focused on office work.
Base Salary: Competitive annual salary (Exempt status).
Commission Structure: Uncapped 10% commission on the gross sale (excluding travel reimbursement) of any new or repeat client show sales, paid out the month following the receipt of required retainer fees.
Retirement: Simple IRA plan with up to a 3% company dollar-for-dollar match.
Personal Time Off (PTO): 10 Personal Days front-loaded on January 1st of each year (prorated for the first year), usable for vacation, illness, or family events. Days do not roll over. More days can be accrued based on tenure and performance.
Paid Holidays: 8 paid holidays per year (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day). Working a holiday grants 1 floater day off to be used within 6 months.
