Job Title: Mortgage / MSP GLCF Accounting Consultant

Job Location: Remote (All remote work must be performed within the United States.)

Job Type: Contract - Must be able to work as a W2 employee of Newbold.

Compensation: $100-115/hour will be based on the candidate's skills and experience. No other forms of compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, are offered for this position. Newbold offers health care benefits and other benefits under applicable Federal or State law.

General Job Description: We are seeking an MSP GLCF Implementation Specialist to support mortgage servicing platform implementations, conversions, acquisitions, and servicing transfers. This consultant will serve as the accounting and finance lead for MSP General Ledger Control Facility (GLCF) activities, ensuring the accurate movement, reconciliation, and accounting treatment of servicing-related cash transactions. Working closely with Accounting, Treasury, Operations, and Technology teams, this individual will assess conversion readiness, validate transaction mappings and controls, support testing efforts, identify operational and financial risks, and help drive successful implementation and go-live outcomes.

Job Requirements:

  • 7+ years of mortgage servicing accounting, treasury, cash management, reconciliation, or finance experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on MSP experience with strong knowledge of GLCF configuration, transaction mapping, and servicing cash flows.
  • Experience supporting MSP implementations, conversions, servicing transfers, acquisitions, or large-scale portfolio boarding initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of custodial accounting, cash movement, reconciliations, balancing controls, financial reporting, and mortgage servicing operations.
  • Experience developing process flows, operating procedures, testing strategies, business readiness assessments, and operational controls.
  • Ability to partner effectively with Accounting, Treasury, Operations, Technology, and executive stakeholders while providing risk assessments and implementation recommendations.
