It is what we do at Frontier Community Credit Union.  We are looking for an individual responsible for originating all mortgage loans to fill our Full-Time Mortgage Loan Officer position.  This position is remote; however, you will visit all of our branches weekly to network with both staff and members.  We have branches in Atchison, Leavenworth, and Gardner. Our Mortgage Loan Officer provides financial counseling through interviewing, pre-qualifying, and the mortgage loan application process.  Monitors and manages the sales pipeline and develops and maintains relationships with the real estate/builder community to promote real estate loan programs.  Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination with credit union personnel and management.  Lastly, all lending functions are performed in accordance with established credit union procedures, and all state and federal regulations are complied with.

Work Schedule

• Monday - Friday and some Saturdays (at least 40 hours per week)

Other Loan Officer Duties Include:

• Providing prompt, accurate, professional, and friendly service to all of our members
• Maintaining accurate account information on our core system
• Preparing required daily, weekly, and monthly reports
• Maintaining a dependable record of attendance and timeliness
• Adhere to compliance policies when resolving member issues
• Requires problem-solving when the established procedure does not fully address the inquiry
• Have a high degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in all communication

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Two to five years of loan processing or mortgage officer experience
• (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing or (3) completion of specialized training courses
• Math and 10-key skills
• Personal computer experience including Microsoft and Windows applications
