We are seeking a Mortgage Collections Specialist (Loss Mitigation) to join our servicing team. This role focuses on early-stage delinquency resolution and supporting borrowers through loss mitigation options to help prevent foreclosure while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. We are hiring for both entry-level and senior-level candidates, depending on experience.

- Pay:$21/hr- $25.27/hr depending on experience level
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
- Location: New Brighton - 100% onsite for 3 months and then one day (WFH) after training
- Type: Temp to hire on permanent
Core Responsibilities
- Make 20-30 outbound calls per day to borrowers with past-due mortgage payments
- Educate borrowers on repayment options and loss mitigation programs
- Send required documentation including Loss Mitigation packages, late notices, and breach letters
- Review accounts and determine pre-qualification for mitigation options
- Maintain accurate records of borrower interactions and account status
- Ensure compliance with FDCPA, CFPB, investor guidelines, and mortgage regulations
- Participate in performance tracking and team meetings
- Maintain confidentiality of borrower information
Senior-Level Responsibilities (if applicable)
- Train and mentor new team members
- Manage investor reporting and delinquency tracking
- Work directly with agencies such as FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA
- Coordinate loan modifications and workout solutions
- Handle more complex cases including foreclosure, bankruptcy, and short sales
- Prepare reports for management, investors, and MI companies
Requirements
- 1-2 years of mortgage collections or loan servicing experience (3+ years for senior level)
