    Job Description

    We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Injection Molding Manager to lead our molding department towards continued safety mindset culture, excellence, and efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage and coordinate the activities of the Molding department
    • Pride yourself on your safety mindset, excellent leadership, ability to foster teamwork, and continued improvement
    • Work closely with EHS&S Department to provide a safe work environment for all Molding personnel
    • Ensure the company's Quality Vision Policy is understood and adhered to by all personnel within the department
    • Direct and lead all Molding department personnel to accomplish Corporate, Divisional, and Plant goals and objectives for the Molding department
    • Lead and direct continuous improvement initiatives for safety, quality, productivity, and additional variables affecting departmental and plant performance
    • Supervise technical and production staff; select, train, develop, and monitor performance
    • Plan and establish needed quality, personnel development, and productivity training within the department
    • Work with internal and external customers to ensure their satisfaction and achieve plant and corporate objectives
    • Work with internal and external resources to deliver new projects on time and on budget
    • Lead, manage, and direct cost reduction programs within the department
    • Develop departmental expense and capital budgets and manage spending relative to financial commitments

    Requirements

    • Continually inspect mold, machine, and related equipment to ensure that it achieves its greatest efficiency and quality of parts
    • Work closely with Quality Assurance personnel to correct quality issues
    • Inform Maintenance Department of any issues with machinery or related equipment
    • Coordinate mold changes and repairs with Production Scheduling

    Working Conditions

    • Full-time, 24/7 operating manufacturing plant availability as needed
    • B.A. or B.S. Degree or equivalent on-the-job experience of a minimum of 7+ years of related plastic injection molding experience and in a leadership position in manufacturing with proven ability to deliver desired results
    • Must possess a diversified background with strong technical, business, and managerial skills
    • Ability to work with mathematical concepts, such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry
    • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions
    • Good working knowledge of Excel and other related software used to gather and analyze data
    • Ability to recognize mechanical and production challenges and implement corrective actions
    • Able to plan and organize daily activities, analyze data, and react to changes and challenges in the business
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to motivate employees
    • Excellent communication skills to establish team culture and trust
    • Demonstrated track record of success in a dynamic, fast-paced production environment
