Additional Information:

The Croton-Harmon School District is seeking a motivated and positive MODIFIED BOYS VOLLEYBALL HEAD COACH to lead and develop our student-athletes at the modified level. The coach will be responsible for creating a safe, supportive, and skill-focused environment that emphasizes teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth, while also preparing athletes for future participation at the varsity and JV level.

Reports to: Director of Health, Wellness, Physical Education and Athletics Location: Croton-Harmon School District Stipend: $4,028 for the Fall 2026 Athletic Season as outlined by Section 1

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct structured and age-appropriate practices that focus on fundamental skill development. • Provide supervision, guidance, and mentorship to student-athletes during practices, games, and team-related activities. • Collaborate with varsity coaches to ensure program alignment, continuity, and athlete progression. • Promote a positive team culture that reflects the values and expectations of the Croton-Harmon School District. • Maintain open communication with student-athletes, families, and school administration. • Support academic achievement and monitor student well-being. • Ensure compliance with all Croton-Harmon, Section 1, and NYSPHSAA policies and procedures. • Maintain equipment and inventory as needed. • Serve as a positive role model and ambassador for the school and athletic program.

Qualifications:

Prior coaching experience preferred; experience working with middle or high school athletes is a plus. Knowledge of the sport, including rules, techniques, and player development strategies. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Must hold or be willing to obtain all required NYS coaching certifications, including: • First Aid and CPR/AED Certification • DASA Training • Concussion Management Certification • Child Abuse Identification & Reporting • Fingerprint Clearance
