Your mission: keep utility fleets up and lifting
CTOS equips you with a purpose‑built utility truck—crane, welder, compressor included—so you can diagnose and repair critical equipment where it works: in the field.
What you’ll tackle
- Aerial devices, digger derricks, cranes, hi‑rail vehicles, service trucks, and construction equipment.
- Systems across light and heavy‑duty trucks: mechanical, diesel, electrical, hydraulic, and after‑treatment.
- LMI diagnostics and CAN bus faults using OEM documentation and laptop‑based tools.
How you’ll do it
- Receive job briefs from the Service Manager; plan and execute work to CTOS, dealer, and factory standards.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, replace parts, and repair units for rental, customer, and company fleets—both roadside and at the service center.
- Road‑test to verify quality; document time, parts, and work performed with complete and accurate repair orders and timecards.
- Tag and manage core/warranty components for return.
- Comply with environmental regulations, including hazardous waste handling.
- Partner with customers and internal teams to minimize downtime and elevate satisfaction.
- Travel as needed beyond your primary area; overtime is expected when operations demand.
Must‑haves
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience as a shop and field technician.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL B preferred).
- Own your tools and bring strong documentation skills with software; dependable at meeting schedules.
Nice‑to‑haves
- Background in electrical schematics/blueprints, hydraulics, and welding.
- Familiarity with Quick Serve, DTNA, or similar diagnostic platforms.
- Exposure to DOT, ANSI, and dielectric testing.
Work realities
- Outdoor environments with wet/humid conditions; occasional extremes in heat/cold; moderate to loud noise.
- Professionalism, positive attitude, and punctuality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; bend/stoop; work at heights; maintain fine motor control for tool and equipment operation.
