Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Market Director of Perioperative Services, you will contribute to the CHI Health mission by planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining programs and policies across all facets of patient care administration in assigned departments.
Every day you will integrate services between departments to ensure patient-centered care needs are met, drive quality and cost-effective care improvements, and serve as Director Perioperative Services at a designated facility, all while leading strategy and growth for the perioperative service line within the NE/IA market.
To be successful in this role, you will possess strong leadership, strategic planning, and operational management skills in perioperative services, a proven ability to integrate departments and drive quality improvements, and a deep commitment to ethical management and CHI Health's mission, vision, and values.
- Provide leadership and direction for multiple facilities in all aspects of Perioperative Services operations including staff recruitment, development, quality management, regulatory compliance, utilization, and efficiencies
- Assure appropriate level of understanding, awareness, and compliance with all applicable Joint Commission, federal, state, and agency laws, regulations, guidelines, and professional standards
- Ensure optimal utilization of department resources through participation in planning capital and operational budgets, in development and implementation of systems and practices that achieve defined objectives, in internal and external benchmarking activities, and in monitoring, analysis, and resolution of budget and productivity variances
- Maintain a department scope of care based on patient population and identified needs
- Develop, coordinate, and manage operating systems, operational standardization, service standards, approaches, communication methods, and policies across CHI Health
- Maintain a system of management reporting that provides the system with timely and relevant information on all aspects of areas of responsibility
Job Requirements
Required
- Bachelor's degree of Science in Nursing
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressive work experience
- Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska
- BLS-CPR
Preferred
- Master's degree
- One to three (1-3) years of supervisory experience in a healthcare environment
- ACLS, PALS, and/or CNOR
