Research Innovations, Inc. (RII) is breaking through the big, slow status quo with transformative technology that fundamentally improves the world. We build advanced software solutions for government and military missions, applying agile development and user-centered design to solve complex, mission-critical problems.
Dragonfly is RII’s next-generation electromagnetic spectrum operations platform, combining advanced sensor integration, GPU-accelerated signal processing, artificial intelligence, and autonomous spectrum operations to deliver real-time spectrum awareness, passive target detection, electronic warfare support, and mission-focused analytics across man-portable, vehicle-mounted, maritime, and airborne environments.
We are seeking a Mission Solutions Engineer to drive the growth, deployment, and operational success of Dragonfly across the Department of War, and U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). Serving as the critical link between customers, engineering, and business development, this individual will lead technical engagements, demonstrations, training events, and field deployments while capturing operational requirements that shape future product capabilities. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in Electronic Warfare (EW), Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM), Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO), SATCOM, or related RF mission areas, and possesses the ability to translate complex technical capabilities into mission outcomes for both operators and senior decision-makers. This is a highly visible, customer-facing role for someone passionate about delivering operational advantage and influencing the future of spectrum dominance technologies.
6+ years of experience in Electronic Warfare (EW), Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Electronic Intelligence (ELINT), Technical Signals Analysis, Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM), Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO), SATCOM, or related RF-focused disciplines.
Worked with RF collection, monitoring, direction-finding, geolocation, spectrum monitoring, or communications systems.
Demonstrated understanding of Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO), including EW, SIGINT, RF communications, and spectrum awareness.
Supported, operated, maintained, or integrated tactical communications, ISR, EW, SIGINT, or RF sensing systems.
Experience with HF, VHF, UHF, microwave, and SATCOM communications technologies.
Worked in Windows and Linux operating environments.
Presented technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaborated across operational, engineering, and customer organizations to solve complex mission challenges.
Demonstrated strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Worked independently in customer-facing, operational, or field-deployed environments.
Ability and willingness to travel minimum of 25% in support of customer engagements and mission activities.
Active TS/SCI security clearance.
Operational experience supporting U.S. Special Operations Forces (SOF), the Intelligence Community (IC), or strategic government organizations.
Experience with RF direction finding (DF), geolocation, TDOA/FDOA, spectrum monitoring, or advanced signals analysis.
Experience deploying and supporting edge-computing platforms, GPU-enabled systems, sensors, and tactical communications equipment.
Familiarity with software-defined radios (SDRs), spectrum analyzers, networked RF sensors, and mission command systems.
Familiarity with commercial wireless technologies including LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi (802.11), and associated protocols.
Amateur Radio (HAM) Technician, General, or Amateur Extra license.
Prior military service supporting EW, SIGINT, EMSO, CEMA, communications, cyber, intelligence, or information operations missions.
Experience supporting field exercises, technology demonstrations, operational test events, or deployed mission environments.
Experience translating operational requirements into product enhancements, roadmap recommendations, or new mission capabilities.
Understanding of modern EW, SIGINT, EMSO, and RF sensing technologies supporting multi-domain operations.
