MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Mission Communications Analyst to join our team. This is a remote position.

Become a vital part of our Sea-Based X-Band (SBX) Radar Mission Integration Team, providing essential communication support while afloat. This position follows a sea-rotation cycle of 75-90 days on duty, followed by up to 60 days off

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Monitor hardware performance and satellite link connectivity

  • Perform proactive monitoring of network elements alarms and alerts to identify those components/elements that may lead to or already are causing network degradation or failure. Accomplishes this through use of network management system(s) and associated assets on a continuous (rotating shifts) basis.

  • Interface with functional users as well as remote operations centers in both routine and reactive monitoring situations. (Network Operations Center)

  • Perform required scheduled, unscheduled, preventative, and corrective maintenance, execute remove and replace procedures, and validate the calibration status of all tests, measurement, and diagnostic equipment.

  • Report failures, degradation of services, and maintenance which impact SBX-1 operational readiness and mission support services

  • Provide support for rack drawings and topologies via red-line updates if required because of equipment replacement and/or technology refresh.

  • Maintain proficiency and recurrency in operation and maintenance of the mission system. This includes annual training on CBSP terminal, Ka Band, as well as training and instruction on mission communications system enhancements and new capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma plus 10+ years of experience working in an Operational Environment supporting military missions

  • 5+ years of experience performing operations and sustainment on AN/USC-69 SATCOM antennas or other similar SATCOM systems

  • Experience performing in a deployed remote work environment for extended periods of time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Acquire and maintain baseline security certification (i.e., Security+, Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) or a certification that is comparable)

  • Current certification in computing environment technology (ex., Cisco, Palo Alto, Windows, Linux).

  • Experience working in a maritime environment

  • Excellent written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to effectively manage competing priorities is a must. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current and active Secret clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass and maintain the physical requirements of a modified maritime physical

  • Must be able to balance, bend, lift up to 35 pounds, crouch, stretch, and kneel

  • Must be able to climb up to 10 flights of stairs regularly

  • Must be comfortable in confined spaces and working in high places

The projected compensation range for this position is $105,900.00-$177,300.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
