Join our dynamic team as a Safety Technician and become a vital part of ensuring a safe, compliant, and efficient Mining environment. In this role, you will proactively identify potential hazards, support risk management initiatives, and uphold occupational health standards across the site. Your expertise will help foster a culture of safety excellence, ensuring all operations adhere to MSHA and other relevant safety regulations.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive safety inspections on mining sites to identify hazards and ensure compliance with MSHA and local safety standards.
  • Assist in developing and implementing safety protocols, risk management strategies, and occupational health programs tailored to mining activities.
  • Support incident investigations by gathering evidence, documenting findings, and recommending corrective actions related to workers' compensation claims and safety violations.
  • Collaborate with project manager to facilitate compliance efforts and promote a culture of safety awareness among workers.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, compliance documentation, and risk assessments for ongoing monitoring and reporting.

Requirements

  • Current MSHA 5000-23 preferred
  • MSHA Bluecard preferred
  • Proven experience working in mining environments with a strong understanding of mining site safety practices.
  • Knowledge of MSHA regulations
  • Familiarity with risk management techniques and occupational health best practices
  • Strong communication skills to effectively train teams, report findings, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to perform detailed site inspections, hazard assessments, and emergency response procedures confidently.
  • Site operates 24/7/365 - must be available to work any day of the week.
  • Current DL required.
