Description: Install, maintain and repair machinery and equipment in a safe and productive manner. Operate hand, machine and power tools, forklifts, manlifts, and welding and torch equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and install equipment, using hand and power tools.
- Align equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers and plumb bobs.
- Assemble machines, and bolt, weld, rivet, or otherwise fasten them to foundation or other structures, using hand tools or power tools.
- Bolt parts, such as side and deck plates, jaw plates, and journals to basic assembly.
- Insert shims, adjust tension on nuts and bolts, or position parts, using hand tools and measuring instruments, to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts.
- Position and erect equipment using blueprints and schematic drawings per pre-determine work procedures.
- Attach moving parts and subassemblies with hand tools and power tools.
- Measure, design and build custom fitted components as needed during course of project.
