The Long Products Division, Steel of West Virginia, has an immediate opening for a Mill Foreman to oversee operations and projects for the #1 Mill Area.
Responsibilities:
- Development of and adherence to mill build schedule.
- Supervise employees and foster culture.
- Ensure accurate equipment tracking.
- Work with the team to identify and implement solutions for mill equipment repair and modifications.
- Work with mill adjuster and mill supervisor to address and document emergent problems.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Safety: Foremen are responsible for driving all components of “Take Control of Safety" to their teams (High Risk Exposures, PSIF Initiatives, PSIF/SIF Management, etc.)
- Toolbox Talks (Safety Alerts and other safety discussions)
- Exposure Assessments and Red Tap Challenges.
- Enforcing and coaching of Cardinal Life-saving Rules.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Mill building experience.
- Proven leadership and supervision skills.
- Strong self-starting abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects to ensure timeliness.
