GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
The position of Mill Floor Operator is responsible for the following:

Hot Scale Breaker, Roughing Mill, Crop Shear, Finishing Mill, Downcoiler and Plate

Perform automatic banding machine and coil marking checks and maintenance as
required, including replacement of banding material, and clips, and tags.

Operating overhead crane and fork truck for functions such as moving finished product,
dumping crop buckets, rejecting slabs, removing defective material from machine,
cleaning out scale pits, loading/unloading operational materials, and moving equipment
around the Mill Bay, as required.
Perform crane inspections daily.
Take inventory or plate, scrap, and spare parts as required.
Properly identifying coils and plates.
Assist Furnace Entry with Slab Receiving and Campaign marking when needed.
Maintaining good house-keeping on a daily basis, as well as house-keeping and
maintenance work as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of High School Degree or Equivalent (GED), basic computer skills, and strong
communication skills.
