Abbott Ambulance is offering a unique opportunity for individuals interested in a rewarding career in pre-hospital medicine. This opportunity is for military personnel who are within their last 180 days of service, to be used as a CSP or SkillBridge.
What is an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)?
The primary focus of an EMT is to provide basic emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical system. This individual possesses the basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care and transportation, and functions as part of a comprehensive EMS response under medical oversight. An EMT performs interventions with the basic equipment typically found on an ambulance and is a link from the scene to the emergency health care system.

What happens after passing the course?
After successful completion of the course, the employee will be eligible to take a written and skills test offered by the Department of Health
Upon receipt of the state EMT-B certification, employees will eligible to apply for a position with GMR.
