Description
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine is seeking a collaborative and experienced physician for the role of Division Director in the Division of Midlife Health. This position is open to Associate or Professor Ranks and is available on either the clinical or tenure track, depending on qualifications and experience.
The successful candidate will join a nationally recognized Midlife Health Center dedicated to providing evidence-based, holistic care for women aged 40 and beyond, while contributing to education, clinical care, and clinical research. The UVA Midlife Health Center is one of the few specialized centers in the country focused on women in midlife and beyond. The division is known for exceptional patient satisfaction, evidence-driven care, educational excellence, and active involvement in research and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a leader for the Midlife Health Division providing expert care, creating and sustaining a positive, inclusive work environment and serve as a role model for faculty and staff.
Develop and implement short- and long-term strategic plans for clinical growth, education and research
Support fellow, resident and medical student education and ensure compliance with ACGME and LCME requirements
Lead and engage in clinical and/or translational research, as aligned with experience and interests fostering a culture of research within the division
Build on the robust and successful philanthropic efforts of the division with development partners
Create opportunities for community engagement and education of midlife health issues within the local catchment area and across the Commonwealth
Expand the Division's and faculty's excellent reputation by engaging societies and journals at a national and international level and sponsoring other division members for opportunities.

Qualifications
MD or equivalent degree (PhD optional) by start date
Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Certified Menopause Specialist by The Menopause Society
Experience in clinical and/or translational research
Evidence of scholarly activity and national reputation desirable
