The Middle School Volleyball Coach is responsible for providing leadership, instruction, and supervision for student-athletes participating in the middle school volleyball program. The coach will promote skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork, character, and a positive athletic experience while supporting the mission and values of Weyauwega-Fremont Athletics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and conduct daily practices that focus on skill development, fundamentals, teamwork, and player growth.
- Teach and model good sportsmanship, citizenship, respect, and appropriate behavior.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for all student-athletes.
- Supervise student-athletes during practices, contests, transportation, and team activities.
- Develop players'' understanding of volleyball rules, techniques, and strategies appropriate for the middle school level.
- Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, school staff, and the Activities Director.
- Maintain accurate attendance and team records as required.
- Ensure compliance with all school district policies, conference regulations, and WIAA guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with the JV, and Varsity coaching staffs to support program continuity and development.
- Monitor and care for equipment, uniforms, and facilities.
- Attend required coaches'' meetings, professional development opportunities, and athletic department trainings.
- Promote academic success and encourage student-athletes to balance athletics and academics.
- Support the athletic department''s mission of developing student-athletes as leaders in school and the community.
