Middle School Volleyball Coach
Villa Duchesne is seeking an experienced Middle School Volleyball Coach for the 2026 volleyball season. The season runs from the end of August through the beginning of November. The team practices one to two times per week, and games are held primarily on weekends, with occasional weekday competitions. The Middle School Volleyball Coach will be responsible for fostering the athletic, personal, and character development of student-athletes while promoting a positive and supportive team environment consistent with the mission and values of Villa Duchesne.
Essential Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct practices, games, and team activities for middle school student-athletes.
- Teach and develop fundamental volleyball skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and growth-oriented team culture.
- Encourage student-athletes to demonstrate commitment, responsibility, and respect both on and off the court.
- Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, coaching staff, and school administration.
- Ensure compliance with school, conference, and state athletic association policies and procedures.
- Supervise student-athletes during practices, competitions, and team events.
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor for student-athletes.
- Support the mission and philosophy of Villa Duchesne through athletics.
Qualifications
- Previous volleyball coaching experience required, preferably at the middle school or high school level.
- Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, skill development, and game strategy.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire young student-athletes while maintaining high expectations and a supportive environment.
- Commitment to fostering the physical, social-emotional, and character development of student-athletes.
