Position: Middle School History & English Teacher (full-time)
Valley Catholic Middle School seeks an outstanding educator to join our Humanities Department beginning with the 2026–2027 school year.
Valley Catholic Middle School is an independent Catholic school serving students in grades six through eight in Beaverton, Oregon. Since opening as an independent middle school in 2011, we have built a reputation for academic excellence, meaningful relationships, and educating the whole child.
As Oregon's only Cognia STEM-certified middle school, our students experience learning that extends beyond the classroom through research, writing, presentations, authentic problem-solving, and interdisciplinary learning. Teaching Assignment- Four sections of 8th Grade History (Founding of the United States)
- One section of 7th Grade English
- One section of 8th Grade English
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range:
$45,397 (Bachelor's Degree, Step 0) – $64,602 (Master's Degree, Step 7+), depending on education and experience.

ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will:

- Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, research, and analytical thinking skills.
- Use a variety of instructional and assessment strategies to support student growth.

- Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
- Participate actively in department collaboration, faculty life, and the broader school community.
Preferred Qualifications- Current Oregon Teaching License (or ability to obtain one)
- Appropriate endorsement in Social Studies and/or Language Arts
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Passion for working with middle school students
