POSITION: Middle School ELA Long-Term Substitute

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

QUALIFICATIONS:

• The individual in this position must be approved to sub through EduStaff.
• Valid State of Michigan teaching certificate for English

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Successful preparation for and attainment of high student achievement through effective instructional practices
• Demonstrated ability to work and communicate with students of all ability levels to meet their academic, behavioral, and emotional needs; proven ability to communicate with parents and other educators
• Strong interpersonal skills with secondary students
• Ability to foster a classroom culture that is engaging, student-focused, and effectively managed.
• Familiarity with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Demonstrated ability to work with professional learning communities

SALARY: $150-200/day, depending on qualifications (third-party contracted through EduStaff)

STARTING DATE: August 2026, per 2026-2027 school calendar
