Middle School Dance Coach
Reports To: Middle School Administration
Qualifications:

Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and conduct practice sessions.
- Provide training direction, encouragement, and motivation in order to prepare participants for competitive events.
- Identify and recruit potential participants.
- Plan strategies and choose team members for events.
- Adjust coaching techniques, based on the strengths and weaknesses of participants.
- Keep records of participant and team.
- Instruct individuals or groups in rules, strategies, and performance principles.
- Analyze the strengths and weaknesses to develop strategies.
- Evaluate participants skills and review performance records to determine their potential in a particular area of the activity.
- Keep abreast of changing rules, techniques, technologies, and philosophies relevant to their activity.
- Monitor the use of equipment, including explaining and demonstrating the use of equipment to ensure safe and proper use.
- Develop and arrange competition schedules and programs.
- Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations.
- Serve as organizer, leader, and instructor.
- Arrange and conduct activities, such as camps, skill-improvement courses, and clinics.
- Select, acquire, store, and issue equipment and other materials as necessary.
Performance Evaluation and Term of Employment:
- Performance will be evaluated by middle school administration.
- Term of Employment: A seasonal position.
