Flag Football Coach
Qualifications:
- High School degree, College degree preferred
- Previous football/flag-football coaching or playing experience
Responsibilities:
- Coach flag-football teams for grades 1-4 and 5-8
- Availability for late afternoon or early evening practices and games August - November
- Practice times typically 3:30pm-5pm for two-four days per week Monday-Friday. Game times typically between 5:30pm-7:30pm once per week per team Monday-Thursday.
- Supports and upholds the mission and values of the International School of Texas
- Maintains confidentiality regarding school matters
- Models professional conduct and sportsmanship while instilling these characteristics within team members
- Schedules practices in consultation with the Athletic Director
- Monitors physical condition and fitness of participants and reports injuries to parents and school officials
- Continually monitors and supervises all activities of the participants at all practices and competitions
- Follows school policies regarding safety guidelines
- Demonstrates professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits
- Able to instruct athletes about proper strategy, skills, and rules of the game
- Able to motivate student-athletes to perform optimally as an individual athlete and team member
- Uses approved, corrective, and positive discipline procedures in dealing with inappropriate student conduct
- Required to lift or carry athletic equipment and supplies
- Required to maintain composure
