Mid-Level Systems Analyst / Application Analyst

Position Overview

Dhaka Technologies Limited is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Analyst / Application Analyst to support application analysis, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and business requirements documentation for one of its clients.

The selected candidate will work with internal customers, technical teams, and project stakeholders to analyze business needs, resolve application issues, support system enhancements, and assist with application integration activities. This role requires strong analytical ability, technical troubleshooting skills, documentation discipline, and experience supporting business applications in a structured IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with internal customers to gather, clarify, and document business requirements and system goals.
  
• Analyze existing applications and business processes to identify improvement opportunities.
  
• Support the design, configuration, enhancement, and integration of business applications.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve application-level issues, escalating complex technical problems when needed.
  
• Assist in developing and maintaining programs, scripts, web services, stored procedures, and related application components.
  
• Support user acceptance testing, including test planning, test case preparation, execution, and defect tracking.
  
• Assist with end-user training, documentation, and post-implementation support.
  
• Help prepare business process documentation, system workflows, functional specifications, and technical support materials.
  
• Support cost-benefit, impact, and implementation analysis for proposed system changes.
  
• Identify system dependencies, process risks, and potential conflicts between applications and business operations.
  
• Assist with prototypes, mockups, and user-facing design concepts for project teams.
  
• Support database-related application activities, reporting needs, and web-based system functionality.
  
• Collaborate with developers, database teams, business users, infrastructure teams, and project managers.
  

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline.
  
• 8+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Application Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Computer Specialist, or similar role.
  
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, functional requirements, workflows, and system specifications.
  
• Experience troubleshooting application issues and supporting production or business-critical systems.
  
• Experience supporting system upgrades, enhancements, configuration, testing, and implementation activities.
  
• Working knowledge of common programming or scripting concepts, web services, and stored procedures.
  
• Experience supporting user acceptance testing and end-user training.
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
  
• Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  
• Basic understanding of database environments and web-based applications.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related discipline.
  
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure integration support or related cloud integration activities.
  
• Experience supporting large-scale database environments.
  
• Experience developing prototypes, mockups, reports, or user-facing application designs.
  
• Experience assisting with cost-benefit, ROI, risk, or impact analysis.
  
• Familiarity with application integration, APIs, data flows, and enterprise IT ecosystems.
